|A most attractive gilt bronze singing bird in a cage. This is not a modern reproduction but an original French early 20th century model probably by the famous French company of Bontems. Bontems were working from the late 19th century to the early part of the 20th century.
The cage is key wound and operated from a lever to the side of the base.
The bird sings, opens and shuts his beak as he sings and lifts and drops his tail feathers.
Lovely plumage to the bird.
French Circa 1910-20.
12.5 inches high by 7 inch diameter ( 31.25 cms by 17.5 cms).
