One of the greatest of the English poets. Revered and disaproved of in equal measure for his aristocratic excesses, huge debts, scandalous love affairs etc.
Went to fight the Ottoman Empire in the Greek War of Independence and died at the age of 36 at Missolonghi in Greece.
Patinated bronze sculpture probably Italian circa 1850.
