|A beautifully cast pair of candlesticks in the French Empire style but probably late 19th century.
Excellent casting with concentric rings to the base of forget-me-not flowers within diamond hatching with an inner ring of beading on a bias.
The stem is decorated with to the bottom a ring of Acanthus leaves then the cup, beading on the bias. Next another section of forget-me-not flowers in diamond hatching.
Moving up the stem a ring of stars within circles. Two more sections of forget-me-not flowers within diamond hatching then the candleholder decorated with a very fine leaf and stem design.
The candlesticks have their original drip pans.
Probably French ciirca 1890.
9.5 inches high by 4.75 inches diameter ( 23.75 cm by 11.875 cm).
