European 18th century ivory group on breakfront base.

Fine group of 18th century European ivory figures of children on a breakfront fruitwood base. Chubby children on the left and right indicating towards the child in the centre sitting on a skull and blowing bubbles. This is an allegory for the passing of time. There are patterae set on the base in front of the two side children while to the centre is a floral swag composed of laurel leaves carved from boxwood. 10.75 inches wide by 8.5 inches high by 3.5 inches deep ( 26.9 cms by 21.25 cms by 8.75 cms).
