A stunning JTC, Austrian 8 day clock set in a fine silver gilt and guilloche enamel snuff or pill box, the lid mounted with rose cut diamonds inset to platinum mounts. The dial with silver gilt bezel and rose diamond set platinum hands. The eight sided box with canted corners, the elevation having two horizontal lines of dark and light blue swirling guilloche enamel, one to the base the other to the lid. Between this a deep layer of candystriped guilloche enamel running virtically around the box. The lid with similar candystripes running from front to back. All enamel perfect and without chip or bruise. The lid has two platinum floral mounts inset with diamonds, one on each side of the oval clock dial, each platinum mount set with 28 diamonds. The silver gilt dial bezel decorated in the form of laurel leaves and itself is surrounded by a band of guilloche decoration. The centre of the dial is of guilloche enamel and echoes the decoration surrounding the bezel. The hour numerals of of Arabic design and the hands are of platinum inset with diamonds. The box is opened by a silver gilt lift button. Inside the silver gilt is bright and perfect. The case is stamped JTC , argent, 0.935 # 9234 and has the Austrian silver mark. The clock case is marked Geneva Clock Co Swiss. The reverse of the case lid is decorated as if it were satin but is in fact silver gilt. This is an outstanding and most beautiful clock in every respect and is entirely original and in mint and perfect condition. It also has its original Key.
