Antique French Charles X period patinated bronze mantel clock with bronze of Diana and deer.
Set upon a square base with mouldings top and bottom and the clock face set centrally.
The fine bronze of Diana the Huntress, after the antique stands on a circular base reaching for an arrow from the quiver she carries on her back. Her other hand grasping the bow over the head of the leaping deer beside her.
The fine patinated bronze bezel of cast laurel and forget-me-not with glass insert covers the very pretty engine turned dial and blued steel moon hands. The hour chapters are marked as Roman numerals.
The movement is of 8 day duration, regulated by a silk suspended pendulum and striking the full hour and half hour on a fine cast bell by means of a countwheel.
