Antique Italian painting in oil on board of Mother and Child painting in superb frame. A very beautiful and well executed painting of a mother with her child and another woman. With a mountains in the background, all very remeniscent of Madonna and Child paintings of the 16th and 17th century. This is almost without doubt a 19th century painting, it is beautifully done and in a wonderful carved wood, gesso and watergilt frame. Italian circa 1840./ 31 inches high by 25 inches wide ( 77.5 cm by 62.5 cm ( Board 14.5 inches high by 12 inches wide ( 36.25 cm by 30 cm).
