A beautiful French Napoleon III ormolu carriage clock, with all five panels mounted in red marble. The Marble panels overlaid with original gilt bronze neo classical figures and acanthus. The circular dial of convex white enamel bordered by a fine bezel. The dial with Roman hour numerals and Arabic minutes at the quarters. The hands in fine gilt bronze. The movement of eight day duration with fine platform escapement, is signed on the front plate Ed Chartier, Paris, and numbered 12775. A wondeful little antique clock. French 1880 15.5cm High
