A fine early 20th century silver and lilac guilloche enamel sub miniature carriage or travel clock in original leather case marked for the retailers, Charles Frodsham (1810 – 1871), who was a distinguished horologist, who established his firm, which remains in existence as the longest continuously trading firm of chronometer manufacturers in the world. Mint condition, fine starburst engine turned design. Silver marks to base 'Argent 0.925' and No. 15161, Swiss silver rampant bear hallmark, same silver marks on inside back door, white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, on bun feet, movement marked 'Swiss Made', which is a 8 day three quarter plate movement.
