Antique French Gothic mantle clock with water automaton feature. The Gothic case with patinated bronze against ormolu is typical of the period circa 1840. The ormolu is of fire/mercury gilding. The dial is also ormolu, with roman numerals. "Water" flows from the mask. The movement is of 30 hour duration. The automaton feature runs very well indeed.
