A quite superb Antique Blue Guilloche enamel and silver gilt sub miniature carriage clock on agate base, in manner of Cartier. A very small sub-miniature clock in a fabulous case. The blue enamel, on five sides is edged with white enamel, with a wonderful white enamelled bezel and arabic dial, and gorgeous diamond set hands. The back of the case, also in blue engine turned guilloche enamel, with dust shutters for regulation, winding and hand setting. The winding hole has directions in gold enamel. The 8 day movement with lever escapement. A very similar clock made by Cartier was sold at Sotheby's, Geneva, 17th May 2011, lot 418 and others by Cartier are illustrated in J Barracca, G. Negretti and F. Nencini, 'Le Temps de Cartier', pages 40-41. A wonderful clock in the smallest size.. Swiss circa 1920 5cm high
