White enamel dial with roman numerals, marked swiss made and Zenith on dial. Fine three quarter plate 8 day movement. Inside of back door numbered 5213, with Swiss rampant bear silver mark, and marked Swiss made. Underside of case marked Argent, silver content 0.925, Swiss Made, no. 5213, with Swiss Rampant bear symbol. Zenith, a luxury Swiss watchmaker was established in 1865. Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle in the canton of Neuchâtel, and is one of the oldest continuously operating watchmakers. Favre-Jacot invented the concept of "in house movements", believing that only through control of the entire watchmaking process could the highest quality be achieved.
