A magnificent French ormolu mirror probably from the Thomire workshop. The casting and gilding of such excellent quality and the style of mounts used poit towards Thomire although the piece is unsigned. The fire gilt or mercury ormolu in virtually mint condition. The two sided mirror swivels between swan's head arms. The base with winged paw feet and acanthus mounts. Charles X period circa 1820. 18 inches high by 14.5 inches wide ( 45 cms by 36.25 cms).
