Antique lyre mantel clock in ormolu. A Napoleon III lyre clock after the Charles X model in ormolu. Set on block bracket feet with rectangular base decorated in deep relief with floral designs. The clock dial and movement set in the body of the lyre with the arms of the lyre as gilt bronze columns rising to a latform with bud finials and to the top a fine ormolu bust of Apollo. The gilt dial with blued steel hands. 8 day movement with steel suspended pendulum, striking the hours and halves on a cast bell by means of the countwheel system of striking.
