A most unusual and quite beautiful, large silver gilt and florally decorated French grey/blue guilloche enamel box clock. The circular box with engine turned silver gilt base with bands of silver and white enamel with a wide floral guilloche enamel band to the base. The upper part of the box with a band of lilac guilloche enamel with the top decorated with French blue floral guilloche enamel and centred by an 8 day clock with white enamel dial. The quality of this piece is extraordinary, not only is the box silver gilt but also the bezel and most unusually, the backplate holding the movement which in turn is beautifully gilded. The box is French as is the fine 13 jewel clock with 3 adjustments. Circa 1900. 4.25 inches in diameter by 1.75 inches high ( 10.5 cms by 4.25 cms).
