A very pretty and unusual small French Empire ormolu mantel clock. The fire gilded mercury ormolu is entirely original. The movement housed in a chariot, upon which sits the figure of Ceres holding a scythe. Ceres is the Roman goddess of corn and harvests. She is driving a very finely cast bull. The movement is a fine verge fusee watch timepiece. White enamel dial with moon hands and roman numerals. A rare and extremely fine model. Circa 1810 17cm High by 18cm long, 10cm deep.
