A fine pair of French Empire patinated bronze and ormolu figural two branch candelabra. Set on square ormolu socle with cylinder ormolu stem with applied and paired ormolu mounts of a young woman dancing with a flowing drape. The patinated bronze woman in classical dress stands holding a candle holder in each arm. The dress is decorated with entwined leaves terminating in a stylised phoenix and flaming torch.The candelholder decorated with amthemion, forget-me-not and acanthus. 18.5 inches by 4.5 inches square ( 46 cms by 11 cms square).
