A most attractive ormolu inkwell in the form of a globe. On a Louis XVth stle rococco base sits a cupid with atronomical instruments and books at his side. Also by him is a working compass. The top of the globe is hinged and lifts to reveal the original fine glass inkwell. 5.75 inches high by 6 inches wide ( 14.5 cms by 15 cms). Circa 1880.
