A fine French ormolu study of a dog ( lurcher or greyhound) set upon a patinated bronze and ormolu base. The fire mercury gilded ormolu entirely original. There is some spotting to the gilding on the dog. The ormolu base well cast and decorated. The dog lying with its paws crossed and his head erect. Seperately cast ormolu collar and head. Circa 1825. 8 inches wide by 4 inches deep by 5.5 inches high ( 20 cms by 10 cms by 14 cms).
