The head of a Pharoah centres the piece and his hands hold the cedarword Old Kingdom barge with a head at the prow and a Lotus flower at the stern. The two inkwells within the boat are covered by an ormolu lid with a sacred bird as a finial. All set upon a stepped base. An extraordinary piece.
