A fine antique English Regency bronze and original gilt lacquer stauette of "Prinny" or the Prince Regent, who had the fabulous Brighton Pavillion built for himself and his cronies to enjoy themselves in. Set upon a square base the cylindrical stem rising to a dome covered in acanthus leave. The Prince Regent standing in knee britches and 8 button waistcoat with cravat at his neck and what appears to be the Order of the Bath on his left breast. His right hand on his hip and a bicorn hat tucked under his left arm. Over 90% of the fine original gilt lacquer remaining. English circa 1815. 8.5 inches by 3.25 inches square ( 21.25 cms by 8.125 cms).
