A very good pair of European ivory dancing figures from the 18th century. Of very good size, being heavy in the body. Both dancers are shown standing on one foot. One plays the castanets while the other would have been playing an instrument, now missing. Almost certainly Italin circa 1750. 9 inches high ( 22.5 cms).
