A good Austro Hungarian split agate casket, bound in gilt bronze ( with original gilding). Each piece of split agate with good orange and white colour in perfect condition and with the edges chamfered. The casket stands on four ball feet cut from the same piece of agate. Excellent condition. Circa 1880. 2.75 inches wide by 2 inches deep by 1.25 inches high ( 6.875 cms by 5 cms by 3.125 cms).
