Antique Italian carrera marble bust of a young woman after the antique. Very well carved bust in the manner of Canova, the bare breasted girl with a necklace around her neck and her hair up and tied with a ribbon. Set on a circular socle with iron pin. Italian, mid 19th century. 23 inches high by 13 inches wide ( 57.5 cms by 32.5 cms).
