Magical patinated bronze sculpture of a young girl holding a dove in her hand entitled "Jeune fille a la colombe" Sculpted by Henry Arnold a contemporary and associate of Rodin and one of the so called 'Bande à Schnegg'. This fabulous bronze in beautiful condition with its untouched patination is so simple in form but mesmerising in its beauty. The girl with square cut hair, one hand down the other raised and holding the dove in front of her and looking at it intently. Set upon circular base signed Henry Arnold and with the Susse Freres stamp and also signed Susses Fes Dtn Paris. France circa 1920. 12.5 inches high ( 32 cms).
