A good French Empire ormolu mantel clock with its ormolu in fine and completely original condition.
Cupid is seen to the right of the clock with his cloak flying out in the breeze playing a classical lyre. His usual trophies can be seen around him, his bow and quiver.
In the base applied ormolu mounts are of arrows within swags of flowers.
To the left of the clock is a fine classical ewer standing upon a pedestal .
The clock stands upon four toupee feet.
The white enamel dial has blued steel hands and arabic numerals.
The movement is of 8 day duration, striking the hours and halves on a bell and the clock is regulated by a silk suspended pendulum.
