Silver and purple guilloche enamel sub miniature carriage clock in mint condition with original wood and leather case with original key. The purple enamel floated over an engine turned design on the silver sides and top. The engine turned design of horizontal lines but forming the rays of the sun. Silver and enamel in mint, perfect and untouched condition. Gilt dial and blued steel hands. The enamel and case Norwegian but the movement Swiss. 8 day movement with lever escapement. David Andersen was a well known Norwegian retail jeweller. Clock pre dates 1924 when Christiania's name was changed back to Oslo. Marked "Sterling" and 925 for silver mark and numbered 11904. 'David Andersen Juveleer Kirkegaden, Christiania (later Oslo)'. 2.375 inches high by 1.75 inches wide by 1.125 inches deep ( 5.94 cm by 4.375 cm by 2.8 cm).
