A blonde tortoiseshell mantel clock.of Queen Anne style , the blonde tortoiseshell case having a caddy top surmounted by a gilt bronze handle, four finials to the top corners and toupee feet. The tortoiseshell case in quite superb condition with no damage or repairs. The eight day duration movement striking the hours and half hours on a gong and stamped with the trademark of the movement maker ‘S. Marti, Paris’, the white enamel dial decorated with painted swags between the black Arabic numerals, with decorative engraved brass hands. 13.25 inches high ( 33 cms ) with handle down.
