An impressive model of a press or baling machine. The carcase is in mahogany while the working parts are in brass and steel. The goods to be pressed or baled are loaded in to the black containers and power is applied to lift the scissor pressing mechaism. The door is opened and the pressed product is removed while the container on the other side is pressed. This particular machine uses a fusee shaped barrel, a winder and a ratchet release. The sciossor lift is on rollers. Engraved "Roberts Patent Press, 42 Castle Street, Liverpool.
