Sub miniature cased silver gilt, guilloche and overlaid enamel carriage clock. Set in its original lined leather case with its original steel and brass key. A tiny, lovely and most unusual sub miniature carriage clock. Beautifully decorated with pearl guilloche enamel. Over the guilloche is beautiful hand painted enamels of flowers and birds on three sides and the top and having a beautifully painted cartouche below the dial of a lake scene within a golden floral border. The perfect white dial with black arabic hour numerals and blued steel hands is very easy to read. There are gold minute marks around the border of the dial and "Swiss Made" below the 6 o'clock. 925 silver mark. The fine 8 day three quarter plate jewelled movement with vertical lever escapement.
