Pink guilloche enamel and silver gilt sub-miniature carriage or boudoir clock, original case and key. A very small sub- miniature by the Geneva Clock Co in a fabulous case with high quality 3/4 plate movement. An almost identical clock to the previous stock number, sold as a pair by the retailer and have always been together. The silver gilt has been largely cleaned off this case but is perfect inside as is the beautiful delicate pink guilloche enamel with no marks or repairs. The enamel on the sides, front and top. The engine turned decoration beneath the enamel is of sun or starburst design. A lovely dial within zig zag design silver glazed bezel. The dial with engine turned gilt centre and with gilt outside ring of minute dots. Annular silver dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Below the 12 on the dial it is signed Plojoux Geneve for the retailers. The eight day 3/4 plate movement very unusually has its' backplate silvered and engraved, a sign of high quality. 1.6 inches high by 1.1 inches wide and 0.7 inches deep (4 cm by 2.75 cm by 1.75 cm). On base of clock " Argent, 0.935 JTC ( for Geneva Clock Co) and 98 59". On backplate which is silvered and decorated with starburst engraving it says "3 adjustments, 14 jewels, JTC, GC Co ( for Geneva Clock Co), Swiss and numbered 20633". Swiss circa 1910-20. Set in original Burgundy Morocco case with silk lining with original key recessed to back of case.
