French Empire antique chariot clock in ormolu signed on the annular enamel dial Ravrio Bronzier.
Cupid controls the chariot which is drawn by a pair of butterflies while Venus sits in her chariot holding a heart in one hand and a wreath in the other.
Fine white convex enamel dial is annular and signed in black along the lower edge " Ravrio Bronzier. The dial is signed on the back by the famous dialmaker Dubuisson who was working in the Rue de la Hachette in 1795 and in the Rue de la Calandre from 1812 to 1820.
Outstanding design, superb casting, original ormolu.
