A very fine Swiss silver gilt and blue guilloche enamel miniature travel clock retailed by Aspreys and in its original leather and silk lined case. The rectangular case with stunning blue starburst guilloche enamel to the centre of the panels, on all five sides, a border and flowers to the edges, the stepped block feet with foliate scrolls. The 2.3cm white enamel dial signed ASPREY, black arabic numerals and gold breguet moon hands. The interior of the case gilt, the inside back door with 925 silver content mark and london import mark and numbered 86. The case stamped J T C within a double lozenge, numbered 5786, by the Geneva Clock Co. retailed by Asprey & Co and the london datemark for 1914. The Swiss 8 day timepiece movement with lever platform escapement, flat balance spring and integral winding key, the plain backplate with a steel winding mechanism, blued steel screws and signed JTC within a double lozenge, no. 12862. 5.1cm high (2inches) by 3.6cm wide by 2cm deep
