A fine French Grand Tour patinated bronze of Dionysus raised on an alabaster plinth base. Dionysus is the god of the grape harvest, winemaking, orchards and fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity and theatre, with the roman equivilent with Bacchus. 18cm High French circa 1880
