A fabulous and unusual sub miniature turquoise guilloche enamel silver boudoir or carriage clock in its original leather case, with original key. The superb turqouise, engine turned, guilloche enamel with concentric border around the edge and star burst engine turned pattern in the centre, further surrounded by a black enamel border. The square dial with bevelled glass, a sign of quality, the dial with arabic numerals marked 8 days, and Birks, the retailer. The solid silver dial is also stamped on the backplate 'Stern Freres Argent' and with 925 silver content mark. Set upon four toupee feet, the fine quality 8 day three quarter plate movement with platform escapement, marked 15 jewels, 3 adjustments, and Swiss made. The underside of the case and the inside back door marked 'Swiss made, Argent, 0.935 for silver content mark, Stylo for the maker, the Swiss rampant bear silver mark and numbered 2962.
