Superb quality enamel beautifully decorated in imperial red guilloche enamel over concentric wavy lined circles in the centre, with lightning bolts going out from there to the edge of the dial, the superb engine turned patterns highlighted by the red enamel. The chapters are marked with gilt arabic numerals. Gilt bronze hands. Red cabochon set to the hands, which is also used to set the time.The reverse side is just as good with the concentric circles over the movement housing and basket weave to the edge. The handle is original and is used to wind the clock. The fine 8 day movement with Geneva spring, which releases tension and stops you over winding the clock, a common way to damage clocks. Four separate silver marks stamped into the clock. "Swiss made, Depose, numbered 1152 twice, 935 three times, star mark for Swiss silver and one small solitary star of David stamp. Fine four piece green leather case, lined with satin and velvet, which is almost as much a work of art as the clock. Swiss circa 1920. 3.5 inch diameter ( 8.75 cm).
