English silver & Blue John glue pots by William Hutton 1909.
A very rare pair of English Derbyshire Blue-John and silver glue pots. One pot lid with a grouse, the other with a hare, both animals with jewelled eyes. Each lid hallmarked for William Hutton, London 1909. 5 inches tall. Blue John is a rare fleurospar mined almost exclusively in Derbyshire, used exclusively for the most exquisite objects & unfortunately now mined out.
