A very attractive and unusual French Charles X period patinated bronze & ormolu mantel clock of rectangular form. Surmounted by an urn. Highly decorated ormolu bracket feet, applied swan mounts below dial and ormolu mouldings. An unusual aperture in the base with ormolu surround allows the distinctive peacock pendulum to be viewed. Silvered dial signed Lepine a Paris. Bell striking silk suspension movement numbered 584.. Circa 1825. 17 inches by 8.5 wide by 4 inches deep
