A rare and most unusual Louis XV mantel clock of fire-gilt ormolu triple signed by Paul Conrard A Liege. Virtually two dimensional this clock is beautifully cast and engraved. The back of the case and the movement itself is fire gilt. The back plate of the case is all over engraved with flowers, birds and a gardener. Fabulous dial and hands the movement, once with repeat, is a tiny fusee and chain verge. Circa 1750. 16 inches tall.
