A good mid 19th century French Grand Tour ink well in the form of the tomb of Napoleon. Constructed of patinated bronze , the effigy of Napoleon lies on a platform below the architectural top which has a tricorn hat upon a cushion. The top lifts off to reveal an ink and sander. Circa 1850.4.25 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide.
