A fine ormolu mantel clock with a neo-classical maiden holding a wreath alongside a cornucopia, with lyre and books surmounting the clock, raised on a neo-classic plinth and on rectangular block feet. This superb clock is stamped to the base by the most eminent bronzier " Thomire a Paris". Thomire's hand can be seen in the fine sculpting of the woman and her serene face, work to the cornucopia and the mount to the base is typical of Thomire and found on many of his productions. 8 day bell striking movement regulated by a silk suspended pendulum.
