A fabulous early numbered Ch. Bruguier, Geneva, fusee singing bird box in silver gilt & enamel case. Key wound chain driven fusee movement working the bellows & driving 5 cams that 1/ open & shut the ivory beak, 2/ turns its head from left to right,3/ dips body forward & back, 4/ flaps the wings, 5/ pirouettes left and right. Stamped to movement Ch. Bruguier Geneve 278. Also scratch signed Charles Bruguier Rue de Paquis No 5 a Geneve, Suisse. No repairs or replacement parts to the movement bar a mainspring repair & bellows material. Original presentation box & key. Circa 1845. 10 cms by 6 cms by 3.5 cms.
