A very fine pair of French Directoire figural candelabra in patinated bronze, ormolu and marble vert. Set on rectangular, stepped marble bases with ormolu mouldings and mounts. The female figures are vestal virgins holding in their arms the floral candelholders. The candelabra terminate in a vase finial with two lions' heads. Original gilding. 23 inches high by 4.75 inches square.
