A fine French bronze of the Pharaoh Amenophis. Beautifully finished and having superb decoration to both the hair and his head dress. The tapered base with Egyptian symbols to the front and a full stylized signature to the back for Paul Gagne who was born in Paris, the son of the Painter Jacques Gagne, and later studied under Roger. He exhibited at the Salon from 1861 onwards. 10 inches by 4.5 inches wide and 4.25 inches deep.
