A good pair of Italian Grand Tour bronzes of Mercury and Fortuna. Mercury, with wings to feet and helmet and carrying his purse and flying on the wind. Fortuna with classical drape is blowing a trumpet and is seen upon her wheel. Both are set on circular black marble bases with bronze reliefs showing winged putti playing and learning. Excellent original condition. 9 inches high with 2.75 inch diameter base.
