A lovely full length miniature of an officer in full dress uniform towards the end of the 19th century. Set in a superb gold mounted split agate frame. The gold edges beautifully chased as is the bezel holding the glass. To the gold back a recess with glass cover and silk lined, able to hold a lock of hair or other momento. 2.75 inches high by 2 inches ( 7 cms H by 5 cms W).
