A fine and unusual boudoir clock from the Art Nouveau period constructed of amethyst with beautifully worked silver mounts. The mounts are of forget-me-not, laurel and mistletoe. Under the dial in French is inscribed " Happy Hours". The silver work is also mounted with jewels. The fine enamel dial with blued steel hands and fine movement in perfect working order. Although French the clock was clearly retailed in London by the famous firm of Thornhill as the original fitted leather case is stamped with their name and address. 4 inches high by 3 inches wide by 2 inches deep ( 10 cms by 7.5 cms by 5 cms).
