A beautiful quality antique limoges dish of painted and fired enamel on copper. The oval dish has as its subject two diaphanously draped young women whose clothing leaves little to the imagination. One is squeezing a bunch of grapes into a dish. Set in a woodland setting this is clearly a celebration of the bacchanal. The dish is signed H. Doublet. 7 inches wide by 4.5 inches deep ( 17.5 cms by 11 cms).
