A beautiful silver gilt and enamel Viennese blackamoor clock. Set on a silver gilt domed base with four silver and enamelled winged cupid feet, four circular enamel paintings of young women with enamelled and silver heads between on a black enamel ground with flower painting. On a circular enamelled socle a turbanned blackamoor in silver and enamel holds an oval silver and enamel watch case decorated on the back and the inside with fine paintings on enamel and to the sides of the case with musical trophies on a black ground and with further silver and enamel heads. Surmounted by a silver gilt seated cupid. The silver and enamelled dial with Roman numerals. The English watch with fusee and chain movement inscribed " A Mother's gift". Circa 1880. 9 inches by 3 inches diameter.
