A fine and very unusual ormolu and pink porcelain mantel clock made and retailed by Levy Freres Paris. This most unusual clock does have the Levy hallmark of small and fine figures decorating the case and his fondness for Limoges porcelain panels in grissaille. The full dial is signed Levy Freres, it also has two fine side panels and a porcelain dome to the top under a carrying handle. Most unusually again the movement is a carriage clock 8 day bell striking movement with a lever escapement, very rarely found in a clock of this type. The backplate carrying the Pons stamp. Circa 1870. 11.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide and 6 inches deep.
